It's completely natural and understandable to not feel all the way comfortable in front of a camera. I want you to know, as you look through my photos, that almost every person I've worked with was nervous about it, too. I strongly believe that everyone can (and should) feel beautiful, comfortable, and truly SEEN when looking through photos of themselves. I will be there to guide, comfort and hold your hand through it all. Soon enough you'll forget you were ever nervous and feeling awkward about where your hand goes or if you walk "normal". Here is how it will go: We are going to talk on the phone (realize how well we get along). On that call I want to hear you gush about your love, hobbies, and family, while I happily listen and hang on to every word. Then we’re going to talk about your wedding dreams and vision for the day, your budget, and your particular needs- after we will create a customized wedding package that satisfies every detail and feels good to us both. Assuming everything feels good and exciting, after our call I will send an agreement over. In order to become officially booked, you will review and sign our agreement and pay your deposit. Then we will mood board together on Pinterest, plan the details, and send voice memos back and forth until it's time to meet up. When it is time for our shoot together we will have a ball of a time. Within 2 weeks after our shoot, I will send you a preview of your photos to get excited over while you wait for final gallery delivery. The moment you have been excitedly awaiting for - your full gallery delivery (yay) - will arrive to you within 8-12 weeks post shoot. We will then obsess over your photos and remain friends forever. I only take 8-10 weddings a year because I want to make sure I have enough of myself to give to every single person I work with. I will be there to guide, comfort and hold your hand through it all.
We are in this together. By the end of this process we will adore each other, have made creative magic, and have successfully documented a complete set of emotions and moments that are happening at this time in your life. I can guess that before we get started on that you will most likely want to know a little bit about me. After reading I hope you feel cozy and decide to reach out via my inquiry form. I cannot wait for it to be my turn to hear you talk all about yourself and your life! I love connecting with new people and can't wait to get to the nitty gritty.
FIRST AND FOREMOST
At this time in my life that looks a lot more like reading, journaling, and traveling with my closest people. Most importantly, to you, it looks like taking photos of strangers that become lifelong friends. I, more often than not, find myself in different countries and cities photographing love and tender moments. I'm constantly growing and feeling inspired by the world around me. I love to romanticize the little things- like walking along the beach at noon on a Monday while I listen to the 7th Harry Potter book, the crunch of a yellow leaf under my boot on a fall day, or inviting the girls over for candlelit dinners and crafting. I have a firm belief that nothing beats love or connection. I can't wait to celebrate yours.
I am soft, passionate, fun, and determined. I'm the eldest child from a family in small town Idaho. I grew up on a farm near the mountains and away from neighbors. For most of my adolescence I had my feet in the mud, sun on my freckled cheeks while I floated the canal, and purple flowers, from our front yard bush, in my dirt caked hands. I have always loved creating- whether that was portraits with crayons, dandelion root potions, or later, posing my loved ones in front of my little pink camera. There has never been a time where I haven't found the most joy in connection, love, and laughs. I have watched my grandparents love on each other my whole life and did my best to be near such tender devotion at all times. I like to think I carry that same energy through my life now, especially as I've gotten older. I've re-found myself and my art that the younger version of me nourished.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
